Wii U Production Ending Soon and Replace With Nintendo Switch

Will the WiiU shut down?

I am not surprised about this news and there were rumors about this Wii-U will stop production this year.  A spokesperson for Nintendo stated that “Wii U shipments to North American retailers for this financial year has now ended” and “We can confirm that as of today, all Wii U hardware that will be made available in the North American market for this fiscal year has already been shipped to our retail partners and”“We encourage anyone who wants Wii U to communicate with their preferred retail outlet to monitor availability”. Which means search online such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GamesStop and Target to if it’s available.

There is speculation on Nintendo  denied that production on the Wii U would end at that time. It’s kind of a hit and miss situation, is Nintendo losing money or the sales of Wii U had gone down (see graph here).

What about The Nintendo Switch  will it bring Nintendo sales back up? The Nintendo says that “There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production,” the spokesperson said, stating that they were not aware of the specifics of the original report and even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue”. Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima apparently suggested Wii U production would end by March 2018 which is a year from now. What is going on Nintendo? Will the Wii-U continued to sales?  What do you guys think?
