Pokemon GO Fest Attendees Suing Niantic for Travel Expenses

Why angry about Pokemon Go?

A man named Jonathan Norton was upset at Niantic because of unpleasant traveling experience during Pokemon Fest in Chicago.  Norton’s Attorney Thomas Zimmerman said in a statement “He paid to fly out to Chicago for the festival, and had to wait for several hours in line, just like most everybody else in order to get in.” Norton and 30 others who was apart of the lawsuit, found out their game don’t work and can’t catch legendary Pokemon.

Niatinic did reach out to the folks  and offer a ticket refund and $100 micro-transaction credit.  They don’t want it and stated that “we’re not seeking any relief with respect to the failure to get legendary Pokémon, because Niantic is offering that.” “But Niantic is not offering to refund people’s travel expenses for coming to Chicago. Most of the people came from out of state, many people from other countries — I talked to someone who flew in from Japan.”

Who is paying the price?

Attorney Thomas Zimmerman calling the incident “The issue is, what was promised, what was the incentive that people relied on and the representations. That people relied on to buy a ticket and make travel plans and fly to Chicago to participate in this festival. Would they have done that had they known that that was not going.  To be lived up to and they weren’t going to get the experience that was represented?”.  I can answer that question, sometimes it’s the airline fault. Due to overbooking flights, delays and many others.

Nowadays people don’t want to go on a airline because of being drag off.  The plane and getting kick off for stupid reason. There is alot of news outlets covering this.  As for the game not working you can re download it or update. Niantic is not responsible for you misfortune that’s your fault. Niantic is the bigger person here trying to extend their hand to help. Those users didn’t take it and there is a lesson to be learn. Plan accordingly or be accountable for your experience.
