Strategy Guides Vs Online Walkthroughs Being a Completationist

Do you want to beat a game the easy way or hard way?

51E0FEA5G7L._SX258_BO1,204,203,200_

Do you remember trying to be a game that’s really hard to beat or getting 100% completion of a game while getting all the stars, coins and etc? Well in the early 1980s -2000s game developers tend to reach out to the players by releasing Strategy Guide books to help complete the game. While Strategy Guide books provide hints, ticks and guide you through the game without reading game manual that comes with the cartridge and disc. While video games was much harder back in the day doing the NES -PlayStation 1 era and was pain to beat as a kid. Nowadays video games became much easier and hand your hand every step of the way. Check out FineBros video on Punch-Out and see today’s kids play game in the 80s-90s. Also there are game magazines that provide tips and tricks too just like Nintendo Power (where you can call developers or send fan mail to Nintendo). As for myself I remember playing Final Fantasy 7 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time I had a hard time with that game with no Strategy Guide it was a pain. Another example is doing Fatalities on Mortal Kombat I had to look on the internet (AOL dial-up) or ask a classmate on how to do it. Now I am older and technology is growing I can get tips and trick off online now.

Battlefield 1 – Back to the Modern War Age Review

Back to world war era

Battlefield 1 takes us back to where wars was not about future technology because horse, tanks, airplanes, submarine and etc. EA wants to break the mold of futuristic shooters and take us back to World War 1 and beyond. Let’s me tell you the process of why this game is developed, the team picked World War 1 as the game’s setting and to suit players playstyles in the game. Creative Director Lars Gustavsson has been dreaming on creating a game based on World War 1 and will not be slows down due to the historical setting. But executive of Electronic Arts Patrick Söderlund reject the idea thinks it’s not fun to play but later accepted it by watching a demo of the game created by DICE. Senior Producer Aleksander Grøndal research about war for visual references stating ““I wanted to see the pictures and I wanted to imagine how they’d look with a mobile lens and wanted to start off with all the footage and imagine that footage in our game with a modern take.” He watched 2014 Apocalypse: World War I French documentary and read 2004 book World War I in Colour by Charles Messenger for inspiration.

Sonic X – New Strange and Dangerous World Anime Review

Gotta go fast with Sonic X

Sonic X is my least favorite Sonic show to watch before to watch before Sonic Satam and Underground. . Alright I watch this show on 4Kids (yes them and they turned all Japanese anime and Americanize it), I thought was an okay show and that’s good as Sonic Satam and Underground. This series is animated by TMS Entertainment (who brought you Detective Conan, Batman: The Animated Series, D.Gayman, Lupin the 3rd and Akira) and directed by Hajime Kamegaki. The process of making the show is Yuji Naka and Yuji Uekawa of Sonic Team created all the original characters and while animated the show it uses non-outlined CGI elements for Sonic’s homing attack and etc. Sega showed and narrated footage of the first few episodes at World Hobby Fair video gaming event in February 2003 with the introduction man characters but there was still frame of a sliver anthropomorphic hedgehog (people speculate that’s Sliver) but it’s was Super Sonic’s early concept. The Japanese seiyus (voice actors) Sanae Kobayashi and Chikao Otsuka found it difficult and unsure about how to portray the characters. The head of Sonic Team Takashi lizuka believed Sonic X will help get exposed for new generation of potential gamers along with merchandise, Naka also hope Sonic will be popular as Pokemon anime series.
